December Statistics & End of the Year

Here’s a look at our December numbers. The market showed a bit more stability compared to recent months, but overall, revenue for the year came in lower than in previous years. This slowdown has affected both our clients and our team. We’ll continue tracking the trends closely and stay focused on expanding into new markets and strengthening income opportunities for everyone involved.

Even with the challenges, we still recorded meaningful wins and important achievements.

The monthly reports include many stats and end of the year awards. We hope they provide a deeper look at some of our best-performing titles.

*On Amazon (US), our overall watch minutes were up when compared to the previous month. This Month there were over 33 total watch hours. The overall watch time on Amazon is down from previous years, but no doubt it is due to the growth of free-to-watch services. So, it was nice to see a slight uptick in watch minutes and hours. Amazon changed their Slate (self-publishing Platform) and, at this time, they are not accepting new account setups in the U.S., the UK, Germany & Austria, or Japan. Amazon is an important service for all filmmakers. Zombie Media will continue to present titles on Amazon to help ensure the success of filmmakers. In fact, we reach Amazon services and territories that were never available through Slate.

Mysteries Unlimited TV - This 24/7 live channel is a project of Zombie Media. We are proud to announce that some of our clients received payouts from the service for the month of November. Our hope is to continue to grow the channel, and that payouts will increase for everyone.  MUTV officially launched in early November. MUTV Streams original content from the heart of the mountains. It showcases indie films, cryptid reviews, Appalachian storytelling, and More!

FearPix - More of our titles are now available on FearPix. FearPix is the ultimate destination for horror lovers and indie creators. Stream spine-chilling content, support underground voices, and help shape the future of horror. They have a YouTube presence and a downloadable app.

Wholesale Pricing to Stores
We also offer wholesale pricing to bookstores, gift shops, and retail outlets. ZMP has shown some growth in this section of our business. Anyone wishing to add any or all of our products to their retail shop, feel free to contact us via the contact form.

With the changes at Tubi (read here), everyone's revenue has taken a slight hit. We plan to offset some of this with marketing. We believe that additional streaming services will rise to the occasion and contribute to compensating filmmakers for this loss of income. We also encourage all filmmakers and authors to self-promote.  One of the most hurtful changes is the shift away from creators/distributors like us and a focus on series.
